Meeting 2013

General Approach:

With every ending, there always a new beginning, the year 2012 will end and a new year will come, bringing more happiness and more trials in life that we human beings have to face. New friends, experience, hardships, lessons and life will be given for us for free.

If we will be looking back at what happened during the current year, what have we done in our lives? Why did we do that kind of things? Did it help someone or something? How will it affect our lives? Such sample questions we have to ask ourselves to be better than what we did at the present. But dealing in the past should be just being a reference for experience but not a thing to meddle with. Just like I always said as a teen, “If you love and got hurt, move on, do not dwell in the past of your memories or it will hunt your future.”

Has 2012 been a good year to you? If yes, you have a reason to celebrate; it might be a good karma for you since you have done something good. But you also have a reason to be cautious. They say that for every happiness, there will be an equal hardship.

Did 2012 give you troubles or too much adversity? Worry not, with your strong will; I know that you will have a date on 2013 where you will feel too much happiness that you can’t contain it. As there are reasons that something bad had happened to you. It only means that you have to grow from your point of view and in life.

What else will 2013 bring? What do you think?

Personal View:

Not much will happen in my life in 2013 but I am still expecting things that will make it interesting, emotions that will keep my blood rush, lessons that I still have to learn, and people I am still about to see, for me, this is the routine of people’s life.

It seems that my point of view things in life is all normal once I have learned it, seen it, heard of it and experienced it, directly or indirectly. It is like I can accept things faster than a normal faster can. With that, meeting the year 2013 will just give me little excitement in general, but is looking forward for it.

My Chinese zodiac says that as a Rooster in 2013 is, In general, the year of the Snake 2013 is fairly exciting, promising and smooth, with occasional setbacks, you will continue to enjoy another good year with successes come in small and big packages. Things that you set out to do will bear fruit for you. There are many opportunities that come knocking that can grow your wealth and take you into a new league. There are gold to bag, provided if you can grasp them. Your inner chi and vitality energies are pretty bad, and this will trap you in a “negative syndrome”, preventing you from seizing them as you doubt your abilities all the time. You must make real effort to maintain confidence and energy in about all that you are doing.

Still, I am looking forward in my life in 2013 like for example, a more stable and longer relationship with my partner and more good grades to come.

The year 2012 also taught me various lessons and gave me a day to experience things like, a problem in the organization which I solved with a little trouble along the way, how to make things, the importance of something in life, how to deal hard personalities, and many different more.

My wish for the year 2013:

Of course, I am still a human and wishing is just normal. What I wish that is very simple enough, and I listed them all and I’ll just be handling out five of them.

  • A better year for the economic growth of the country for a better living.
  •  More jobs for the graduates.
  • Less conflict between people.
  •  Hoping that each sector that both the Religion and the Politics will know their in the Philippines.
  • More opportunities to everyone

Have a Happy New Year!

Rooster's Sign on the Year of the Water Snake

I am not really into predictions but it is fun to do with it without making it sound too serious or living with it. I got this from http://www.fengshuimall.com. I'll be general and will skip minor things as what they say about the predictions of those who are born in the year of the rooster (1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005)

In general, the year of the Snake 2013 is fairly exciting, promising and smooth, with occasional setbacks for people born in the zodiac year of Rooster. You will continue to enjoy another good year with successes come in small and big packages.

The Earth Seal Star visits your astrological chart this year. This signifies down-to-earth good fortune and strong support from the Earth Goddesses. With this seal, you have the mandate to shape the circumstances around you for maximum success.  Rooster born who wants to reap good harvest and soar to new heights should energize the Earth energy of the home. The best way to activate this lucky star is by placing crystal ornaments in the center of your home or in the West sector.

Bad greedy people will go to great lengths to gain your trust, and then attempt to take advantage of you, betray you, stab you in the back or steal from you. This is a year to be careful about trusting people.

Working Life for professional rooster is encouraging. You have a bright prospect in your career. You can expect a new position or a new role in a lucrative project.  Seize opportunities to showcase your talent. For businessman, your luck is good and business will thrive.

Rooster-born will make new friends in your social and business circle but if you are looking for a romantic partner, you may find it challenging. Having said that, romance is seldom on your mind this year. Many of you will not be too keen to make long-term commitments

Health and wealth luck is good overall except for the 56 year old Rooster. You will succumb to disease easily and will encounter some financial issues.

My Note:

That said, I don't really believe in predictions, but it is a good chance to be motivated and be cautious about things especially in health, financial, relationship and self-esteem. To sum things up, those who are born in the year of the rooster will have to cautious about their health, relationship with other people, and safety. It is good to that Roosters have a good decision making this 2013 both in their personal life and in professional life.

Manager’s Job: Belief and Fact

On my study in management, there are times that I get curious as to what really is the job of a Manager. This could help me know better what a Manager really do in an organization or a company, inside and outside his office.

I researched a little about the Job of a Manager and I found out that there are things that we believe and what really is a fact. If you ask someone what Manager’s do, they are likely to answer you that manager’s plan, organize, coordinate and control. But if you watch closely on what they do, you’ll probably be surprised if you can’t relate with what they really do.

Now, I have listed 3 Belief and fact about a manager’s job.

1.)
Belief: The manager is a reflective, systematic Planner. The evidence of this issue is overwhelming, but not a shred of it supports the statement.

Fact: Managers work at a unrelenting space, that their activities are characterized be brevity, variety, and discontinuity, and that they are strongly oriented to action and dislike reflective ideas.

2.)
Belief: An effective manager has no real duties to perform inside the organization. I wouldn’t agree with this. Managers are constantly being told that all they have to do is that they should plan and delegate tasks within an organization, and less time seeing important people and engaging negotiations.  If we use an old analogy, Managers are like conductor, which carefully orchestrate in advance, and then sits back, responding occasionally to an unforeseeable exception.

Fact: Managerial work involves performing a number of regular duties, including ritual and ceremonies, negotiations, and processing of information that links the organization with its environment. I would like you to consider about this thing, study shows that a manager is someone who sees visitors so that other people can get to their work done. Another is that these ceremonies and rituals include, meeting visiting dignitaries, giving out incentives, presiding Christmas dinners and a lot more.

3.)
Belief: The senior manager needs aggregated information, which formal management information system best provides. The words total information system were everywhere in the management literature. But these giant MIS systems are a little help to the managers. A look at how managers actually process information makes it clear why.

Fact: Managers prefer strongly favor verbal ways of communications such as telephone calls and face to face meetings rather than documents. Consider these findings: In two studies, managers spent an average of 70% and 80% of their time in verbal or oral communications with the shareholders of the company. In my observation, it results to a figure of 75%.

Considering the facts of the managerial work, we can see that the manager’s job is enormously complicated and difficult. Managers are overburdened with countless obligations, yet they cannot delegate their tasks quiet easily, these results that they are exerting more effort and turns out that they are overworking and is forced to do many jobs superficially. Brevity, fragmentation and communications describe their work. Science has concentrated to the specialization of functions of managerial works, where it is easier to analyze the procedures and quantify the relevant information.

The Weird and Wonderful

Another sleepless night again with a normal midnight in a normal situation even if it is 12/21/12 (They say its the end of the world.) And I am about to discuss again something that people knew me would post sooner or later. Now, I am thinking if I make another blog of different niche and put my previous post there. But I was thinking that it would be an additional work on my part. Well anyways, read this and tell me what you think. :D

What is Weird?

Of a strikingly odd or unusual character; strange. It is based on the perception of an individual whether he or she sees something that is not normal or unusual thing from his or her point of view. But what is the universal standard of being weird or being normal based on? It seems to be broad that few people can make an answer of that. I too tried, research different books, looked over the net, asked people of degree, but ultimately ended up with just few small information. Is being so called weird a wonderful thing? It depends upon the level of being "unique". Why? simple, there are bad and good in all the things we select who we want to be.

What is Wonderful?

I guess this is self explanatory. It is the state of a person or object or any other subject that we found marvelous or admirable in some sort of level. Again, it depends on the perception of the person who is judging.

Weird and Wonderful

Is there by chance that weird and wonderful be at the same characteristics? The answer should be obvious, YES! Both are perception of the mind and can be a trait of the object in focus. There are a lots of them in the world. Like how marvelous scenery it can be despite the weird natural or man-mad construction design they have.

This could be the same as being an otaku or being an avid anime lover.

We otakus are very much fond at reading mangas and watching different genres of anime. With that, the tendency is that we can have this so called 8th grader syndrome on which we live on our own world, sometimes being too dramatic or too much fantasy. But that is not the only tendency that we turn out to be. We are adapting cultures of different country especially on Japan which anime originates. We say "Itadakimasu" before eating and "Gochisosama" after eating. This is how Japan culture is when eating. It is much like a prayer for thanking for the blessings on their table.

Now, I have listed the benefits of being an otaku since there are much more fun facts about us.
  • Another interesting part of being an otaku is we learn how to watch  listen and read subtitles at the same time making our brain as coordinated as possible
  • We learn how to draw faster with little guide as possible especially the anime-style on which trends in the Philippines now.
  • We can act different moods just by copying what our favorite characters are in a much faster pace. We know how to be a cute-killer, how to be much more cuter, sexy in a way that no one gets offended, and much more acting that is not seen on a normal television show.
  • Being creative and resourceful especially during Cosplay events. We much like copy the character's dress code and traits. We also make them ourselves especially to those Cosplayers that have a limited budget. And making those costumes are no joke.
  • We are great singers too, being able to sing on a three language (Native, English and Japanese). And I know Filipino people who are a very good singer too! (haven't meet them yet but dreams to meet them)
  • We learned Japanese by simply watching anime.
  • Of all the traits, we are also a great source of jokes as we have a wide sense of humor. Influenced by the anime and manga that we already watched and read.
  • Broader and open minded people we are. Why? With different topics and genre the Anime and Manga world give us, we learn by the life of different characters and we began to learn from them and value the meaning of life and existence.

So by chance that you are an otaku and somebody says you are weird, just say that we have our own definition of being normal and site one of the facts there to that person. Example, ask him o her if he or she can learn Japanese just by watching. Or ask them if they can read, listen and watch at the same time a television show. You are a unique person, you shouldn't be discourage. Just be yourself and don't mind other people. You have a much more open mind. Don't turn your huge open gate into a open door. I know you get me.

As for other people, we all have our own perception or insights about the things around us. Just because other people are acting much differently than what you do. All of us have no right to judge others. Chances are, if one of us calls someone weird, we don't basically know what that particular person can do. We could at least respect one another.

Lastly, all I could say is that, what people think are theirs alone. We are different individuals that have their own world inside of them. Maybe, they are most comfortable being there and enjoy what they are doing. We all have something that we commonly have, it is our uniqueness. And I say, Anime Fans are not Weird, we are unique and we have our own originality in some way or another. :D

"Today, we sign, finally, a law that serves as an early Christmas gift to millions of Filipinos who will be covered by the universal health care program, who will benefit from new public clinics and hospitals that will be built, and who will be discouraged from smoking and drinking,"

- President Benigno Aqiono III

News

The long years that the Filipino who supported the Sin Tax Bill has been a fruitful Christmas gift for them. It started on 1997 and for almost 16 years of struggle and waiting, the law has been signed On Thursday, December 20, 2012.

Credit goes to the uploader

The law aims to impose higher taxes on the "sin" products, overcoming the industry that kept these products in the Philippines as one of the cheapest in the world.

It will generate additional revenues of roughly P34 billion in the first year of implementation that will be spent for the universal health care program and tobacco farmers' livelihood.

Aquino also thanked the lawmakers and advocates who helped the law to be passed when it was still a House Bill.

"Many believed it was impossible to pass the sin tax bill. Those who are opposing it are strong, noisy, organized, and they have deep pockets. But we have proven: nothing is impossible for Filipinos who are sailing in the same direction, whose hearts are in the right place, and who are ready to fight for their principles," he said on his speech.

The fight for the reformed law was hard and full of heated debates not only in the senate but in different parts of the country. There are also controversies that sprout much faster than the signing of the bill that results from the different resignation of different individuals involved on the process.

At the bicameral conference committee, where the House and Senate reconciled their versions, debates centered on the burden-sharing between tobacco and alcohol in generating the additional revenues and whether the government can make good on its promise to spend the funds as planned.

The reconciled version approved by both chambers of Congress seeks to generate the following amounts:
2013 – P33.96 billion
2014 – P42.86 billion
2015 – P50.63 billion
2016 – P56.86 billion
2017 – P64.18 billion

The burden-sharing between tobacco and alcohol is as follows:
2013 – 69%-31% (ratio of tobacco to alcohol)
2015 – 66%-34%
2016 – 65%-35%
2017 – 64%-36%

Though some senators said that the bill will be biased against tobacco. Though it was solved peacefully during the bicameral conference last December 10, 2012.

President Aquino also gave assurance that the law will provide "a level playing field" for industry players. "It's not fair that different taxes are applied on the same products," he stressed.

Players in this reformed economy will not a be a loser but a winner given the time to make an impact and the necessary adjustment and final touch are fixed.

Thoughts

I personally don't have any problems with the Sin Tax Bill made into a law. It is a strong measure needed to shake some people off smokes and booze. One thing I am distrustful of, though, is where the money collected will go, will it really be for health care or to the corrupts' pockets? That thing is one to be looked out by the present administration. They should make sure to monitor very closely when and where the money will be brought.

Think it over, there are pros and cons on everything. The good thing for now is that we can focus more and giving good health service to the people who really needs the service and to make some people stop complaining about a certain problem in the health care program of the Philippines.

The bad side is that, at first, economy on the sin products, since it is one of the highest demand on the country, will falter in the first few years of the implementation. The people will also fear and wonder that if the government will not take the money allotted for the people's healthcare into their personal use.

In the end, the very intention of the government (I hope) that they would really care for the very healthcare of  the citizen of the country. A very noble intention shall we say, but let us see whether they really are noble or is just making a name for the upcoming 2013 election. :D

A Letter For This Season

Dear Reader:

Christmas is the season of giving and exchanging gifts, buffet of food is served in the table, lights fill the house and with different decors. Season of Red and Green is fun isn't it? You have the chance to receive different kinds of gifts, a fun of a lifetime to recorded with different pictures, videos and recordings. A month full of fun.

Now I am not here to lecture you about giving things to the poor. I am writing this to you as a thanks for giving at least small things to your fellow human being for the whole year. You might not know it but with every single prayer for the world, every smile you had given to someone, a little alms you have given while on the street, for educating people through your own way, and especially by a way you do on your own way to help people.

I am hoping that you would at least continue what you have been doing even if it is not Christmas, or even make more effort in helping those who are in need if you have the means.

With all the food and party out there, please try not to be glutton and watch your health. Or, you could remember some people out there. There are lots of them in the cold.

With all the things that is happening around the globe, I wish your safety at all time. Of course, You should wish other's safety too! Being safe means that we are able to give and receive more goodness around the people who we see. Isn't it good right?

Lastly, remember all the people you have mingled with, good or bad. I think you are mature enough what I want to say to you am I right? We should at least celebrate the Birth of our Dear Lord Jesus Christ with hearts not containing any negative emotions coming from other people. Forgive and ask for forgiveness is the key for a peace of heart, mind and soul.

Have a merry Christmas and show what really is the spirit of Christmas. Not juts decorating the house, singing carols and serving food. I know that you know what is the real spirit of the Season. :D

Sincerely Yours,

Jerwel Adrian

Smoking: Pleasure or Life?

Review:

With Sin Tax Bill in review before passing into a law, Let us first review the bill too before the article.

The bill's measure is to discourage the people on smoking and drinking, and putting all the effort into developing the health program in the country, thus creating a sound and healthy community throughout the Philippines. The bill also states that there are already measures to save the workers, from tobacco farmers and industrial employees. The said bill also states that the only ones to be affected by the tax are the people who uses these vices.

There are necessary preparations that the government had taken considered like:

RA 7171 (An Act to Promote the Development of the Farmers in the Virginia Tobacco-producing Provinces) states that 15% of collections form excise taxes on tobacco products will go to provinces where Virginia tobacco is produced.

RA 8240 (An Act Amending Sections 138, 140 & 142 of the National Internal Revenue Code) provides that 15% of the additional revenue collected from the excise tax on tobacco products be allocated and divided among the burly and native tobacco-producing provinces.

You Choose!

As we all know, or for the ones who don't know,  nicotine is the addictive drug in tobacco smoke that causes smokers to continue to smoke. Addicted smokers need enough nicotine over a day to feel normal or stay normal to satisfy cravings or control their mood. As long as they can receive nicotine, they are likely to just inhale every kind of cigarette to feel normal.
Smokers also inhale about 7,000 other chemicals in cigarette smoke along with nicotine. Many of these chemicals come from burning tobacco leaf. Some of these compounds are chemically active and trigger profound and damaging changes in the body. Much like inhaling a car smoke blowing on it's tube, only much worse in a matter of number of sticks.

There are over 60 known cancer-causing chemicals in tobacco smoke. Smoking harms nearly every organ in the body, causing many diseases and reducing health in general.

One day, while walking in the streets, I happen to see a set of family in the corner. The father smoke alongside the mother while carrying her baby, children on the side playing but is cough a lot. I feel sorry for the children because, they are already getting sick in such a young age from the second-hand smoke coming from their very own parents. I also fear that with those children, seeing their parents smoke, will more likely to smoke too and what I saw will happen again on the near future.

With the growing population around the globe, there are more people being affected by direct smoking and second-hand smoke which leads to different kinds of diseases ultimately, statistics will show that the number deaths related to smoking will increase.

It is true that direct smoking will have an adverse effect in the health of the person smoking, but second-hand is twice more deadly than directly inhaling the smoke from the cigarette stick. Secondhand smoke can cause immediate damage as well as contribute to the development of numerous diseases, including cancer and heart disease. So what will be the health of the children and the baby?

Scientific research also says that children are particularly the most vulnerable to the effects of secondhand smoke because they are still developing physically, have higher breathing rates than adults, and have little control over their indoor environments. Children exposed to high doses of secondhand smoke, such as those whose mothers smoke, run the greatest relative risk of experiencing damaging health effects.

My Thought About the Notes:

I prefer giving life not only for the future generations but also to the living human being in the present. There are still a lot of people who don't just smoke and wants a healthy living. Like what I always hear on a dramatic television show, "If you want to die that badly, don't include innocent people." With the movement of the Sin Tax bill in the present government, I am looking that in the future, where young ones will not have the problem in their health due to second hand smoke.

What about you? What's your choice?

Five Tips on How to Pose

Posing for a photo shoot can be challenging at first. What should you do? What pose will you do? These are the common question one comes in mind at first. I love to wear different combinations of clothes and I am quiet vain in taking pictures to much of my surprise, I am researching how to pose accordingly on photo shoots. To sum things up, I have listed five tips on how to be natural in posing as a model or just for fun.

I'm no professional model but has a background in modelling. But the tips I found are the ones me and my friends have been using. Hope that It'll help you in the future. :D

1.) Keep Moving

Don’t get stuck in the same pose for more than three seconds. And even that three seconds might be too much. Slightly tweak your pose by moving your shoulders, angling your face differently, re-positioning your arms, legs, and so on. It helps to think of modeling as a sort of dance. Keep moving. Also be aware of your hands. If you have claw hands or are making an awkward position with your hands, just relax and don't show any restraints from your movements. Keep your hands graceful and soft whether they are on your hips, or hanging loose at your sides. Don’t clamp them at your waist or make tight white knuckle fists–your hands should always stay light and smooth.

2.) Good Posture

Modeling is all about positioning your body in flattering angles and interesting shapes, so it’s important to have good posture to begin with. I've never seen a successful model who hunched all the time, have you? It’s all about asymmetry. In example, if you have one arm bent, keep the other one long and straight. Or if you have one leg locked out, have a bend in the other one. This will make the pose look less artificial.

3.) Put up emotions

Don’t always look at the camera. It’s okay to look away. It’s actually better too. You can stare off into the distance, slightly away from the camera. Adding emotions on your face and in your body language may have an extra point for a good photo. look through fashion magazines and other model’s portfolios for pose inspiration and to see what works and what doesn't.

4.) Search for your Light

With Regards to my previous post on "Light Can Bring Out the Best in You", as I quote

"In photography, light can make your subject look more good than usual and can it can look more healthier and brighter. By making use of the light, you can also make yourself look good in your photos especially in this age of social media like facebook and tweeter." by that, you can already know what I mean. :D

5.) Cleanliness is Your Best Friend

Do you know the greatest thing models invest for their career? It is their cleanliness not only on how they wear their make-up, clothes and other things, but they also have to clean out the blemishes they have. If you have problems in your face care, I know a simple solution for you. refer to "Tips on how to Clear up your Face From Pimples".

"Do not show up to a photo shoot unless you are clean shaven, have a clean face, and clean hair."

Five Tips to Review During Exams

There are lots of ways on how to get good grades or results at your exam. Ways may be different per person but as long as you can get the knowledge, it will help you not only to the day of the exam but also to your very future. Reviewing can be a great way to get scores especially during quizzes or exams. I have listed my ways on how to get scores which make me proud every time I see my test sheet.

1.) Review ahead of time.

After the lesson or after the whole class session at school, it is advisable to make a review on what lessons your class had discussed. This will help you to remember and retain every words and every conversation that had transpired during the class. Reviewing ahead of time doesn't mean that you have to review all out, a little reading your notes every time you can, will help your brain to memorize the things that might appear on the test in the near future. It is basically like, listening to your favorite songs again and again and you unconsciously memorize every lyrics it had.

2.) Study at Your Best State.

If in any cases that you feel that you are not in a good state to study, it is advisable to take a rest. Forcing yourself to review while feeling down or ill, will just make you stressed out for not able to absorb what you are reading. A sound body shows a sound mental state.

3.) Read it Loud and Clear. Again!

It has been proven(at least for me) that reading while you are releasing sound and hearing yourself will stimulate your brain more and can remember almost all of what you are reading. You just have to repeat the keywords you want to know over and over again to effectively memorize what you are studying. With a little conversation to yourself and uttering the items you want to review in a clear and understandably, you might be able to memorize a subject or two in just a full night. Just make sure that you won't disturb someone in your family or the neighbor.

4.) Writing Down Notes.

If you are using a book and tired of flipping pages over and over again, this is what you have to do. A reviewer is your best friend. Writing down important items or just items you think will appear on the test on a separate notebook or piece of paper. This is an old technique used widely by many.

5.) Understanding is the Best Way.

Though memorizing all the items is good during exam, it is not still the best way though. Understand the lesson given to you and know the very essence of the lesson present will help you ace in the exam (at the very least, this helped me until now in my majors). Memorizing something means that you are just going to use it on a short term basis, sooner or later, when you don't need it anymore, it would just disappear. While understanding the subject, lessons will retain on you for a longer duration of time

I have always been a fast writer and thinker when it comes to words. My emotions are my inspiration and my thoughts are my pen to be able to write what I think, see, feel and learned. Sharing words are my happiness. When someone reads my articles, I am happy that I am able to share what I know, even though I am still a kid to the eye of a very big planet earth.

There are things that all people have to experience and will experience. I, as a human being, also goes into this process. As a writer, we are going on a phase called writer's block where it seems that we want to write, but the thoughts disappear midway or we can't even think of something to write. There are lots of things I want to talk about. What I learned on school, How I solved a particular problem in my life, about the things I do and many more. I always sit down in front of a paper and sometimes to the computer to write. Nothing. I can't think of anything to write.

Junk, trash, piece of crap. When I force myself to write, and finish an article or two, after proofreading, I find myself disappointed and think of those words. Harsh it may be but that is the truth.

Some writers need to see things new to be able to write. They have to experience something to be able to make a very good content. Like every manga artist, they too have sometimes undergo in times like this where a weekly updated became into a monthly update. This is because of the growing story or to the lose of an inspiration. I am not a professional writer but I could at least understand how it felt. Being unable to write to continue to share and to entertain.

To cope up with this phase, I do a lot of reading especially on the books that I really love and watching anime that could always give me something to think of. Sleep and eating don't do me good when it comes to thinking for some sort of reason. Maybe because I just enjoy them and seems to forget everything else. :P

as I always quote on myself and to others when dealing problems, "Hardships will always be at your side, you may run but it always be there. What you must do is finish that hardship and the rest will go smooth."

Discovering new things in yourself can be quiet fun if you think positively.  A writers' block will always be there if you don't make a move to deal with your problem. Writing as a hobby can be sometimes called as old fashion by some. But hey! At least I learn things just from writing.

With the cooperation of the school's organization of the three branches of my school, National College of Business and Arts, the student organization was able to collect toys, school supplies, and clothes that will be given to the designated projects, with a theme of "We Care, We Share".

Our school branch in Fairview was assigned to be on Batino Elementary School at Cubao to hold a Christmas Party for Special and Impaired Children. With the cooperation of our branch school organization, we are able to make a fund wherein, we can give new toys and to held programs to make them happy.

In preparing for the gift and other items we have collected through our donation boxes, we are able to see the other sets of officer of the other branches of NCBA, Cubao and Taytay, and we are able to have some fun with each other.

I also learned the craft how to made a gift wrapper that looks like a gift bag. Preparing all the gifts and the clothes and also the supplies can be quiet tiring but with friends working together with you, things get easy to work out.

Got taken by a friend. look at the pile of gifts down there!

Though honestly, some of us feel bad when we were informed that we will be using our own money for our fare to the venue and for our own food, we have no choice but to cooperate since the success of the event rest among our skills and passion to help spread joy for Christmas. I too felt that we are being used by the school but when I thought about what will happen during the event, that bad thoughts disappear and said that "I want to experience something new and be able to help at least."

I was right to be on that mindset. When we arrived at the place of the event at Batino Elementary School at Cubao, we thought that it was just an ordinary school. Seeing all the kids there, I suddenly felt something in my chest. I had fun with the kids. Especially to this girl. She was really lovable and cute and she always wants a kiss and a picture with my companions. She is also attentive to our games. Too bad I didn't able to get her name. There are also kids whom I am able to get fond to.

Playing with them is easy and fun. Being with them made me realize something, no matter how hard or costly things get, as long as you can make someone happy even for a short while, you are repaid by much more than what you have given. It may not be in form of material wealth, but, it is in the form of self-satisfaction, experience and happiness.

These people might be lacking something, but I know that the smiles in their face when they we are with them and when we interact with them is genuine. They can't lie, can't hurt emotionally, a true innocent person in my point of view. They need us, they need our support and care. I found out, that one of the greatest gift that I can give is my unconditional love and my acceptance to the people around me. To be able to bring joy before Christmas, I think my Christmas can be happening sooner than the calendar says.

Merry Christmas and may love fill our hearts.
